Do you worry you have lost control over how much you eat?
Do you often overeat until you are uncomfortably full?
Do you find yourself obsessing over food or about your shape and weight?
'What's Your Hunger' offers a new approach of support for those experiencing difficulties with emotional overeating or binging. If you struggle with controlling your eating and this is causing you distress, then our group can help.
What's Your Hunger - Weekly Group
We run a weekly group session to support those who suffer from overeating issues and who feel they have lost control over their eating and weight. It's a safe space where nobody feels judged, in fact all those who attend feel relief from talking with others who understand what they are going through. With help from the group facilitators you will gain greater understanding of what maintains your eating issue and how to free yourself from it. Over the past 3 years we have witnessed so many participants tackle this issue and find freedom from the distress it causes.

Creators and facilitators
'Glenn and Jess were welcoming, friendly and non-judgemental. They provided a safe, confidential environment and were very knowledgeable'.
'I no longer felt alone in my struggles, I felt like I re-gained my identity and made some fabulous friends at the same time. I can honestly say that I feel liberated from my eating issues for the first time since I was 8 (almost 20 years) and I am happier than I have ever been, which has been largely due to the what's your hunger group.'
What is What's Your Hunger?
It is the combination of work by two professional therapists who passionately care about supporting people with problem eating issues. For the past 3 years we have run groups and courses that help people free themselves from the pain and suffering emotional eating can cause them. We have a 'non-profit approach' which aims to make this affordable to all. We work in partnership with the NHS and other local health organisations based in the Bournemouth and Poole area.
What is this group about?
Well, it’s not about calorie counting, weight loss or body image! That may initially disappoint you to hear as you may be interested in this group because you want to look and feel different. Our guess is you have probably tried many different diets, fitness classes or weight loss programs and although these may have had short term success for you, they did not offer a long term solution. ‘What’s your hunger’ is a new group for those who experience difficulty with emotional overeating or binge eating episodes. It offers a new approach that helps you gain a deeper understanding of the reasons behind why you are overeating and seeks to offer some healthier coping strategies. So often, people who struggle in this area are only offered support to change their eating behaviours without addressing some of the underlying reasons behind the issue. This group sets out to change this. The sessions will take place in a small group setting and will be run by a facilitator who is experienced in this area, offering a safe and confidential place to begin your journey to a healthier relationship with food, as well as with yourself.
